[Doctorandos] Novedades de posgrado

BECA DE POSGRADO

En el marco del convenio suscripto entre la Universidad Nacional de La
Plata y el Banco Santander, se encuentra disponible una plaza para
realizar un curso online y a distancia en las áreas de Empleabilidad,
Innovación y/o Emprendedorismo. Se dará preferencia a cursos impartidos
en universidades pertenecientes a la Red de Macrouniversidades de
América Latina y el Caribe, con excepción de las universidades
argentinas (http://www.redmacro.unam.mx/universidades.html), con fecha
límite de culminación el 30 de junio de 2022.

DESTINATARIOS:
Alumnos de posgrado de todas las dependencias de la UNLP que posean al
menos el 30% de su carrera aprobada.

Financiamiento: el beneficiario recibirá una suma de $ 83.500 (pesos
ochenta y tres mil quinientos), por única vez, para costear la
inscripción al curso de su elección.

Los interesados deberán remitir la siguiente documentación en formato
digital a proyectosinternacionales en presi.unlp.edu.ar y
unlp.rel.internacionales en gmail.com:
•       Certificado analítico de la carrera que acredite al menos
30% de la
aprobación de la misma.
•       Programa y contenidos del curso relacionado a Empleabilidad,
Innovación y/o Emprendedorismo escogido por el aspirante.

     The PhD program in Physics and Chemistry of the Palermo University
has opened up a call for the 8 positions.
     One of them will be dedicated to multi-wavelength study (mainly from
optical to gamma-ray) of Blazars at IASF Palermo.

          This PhD project will be supervised by Dr. Fabio Pintore (contact
him for more information on the project, fabio.pintore en inaf.it).

    The PhD candidate will collaborate with a team of young scientists
working at INAF on accretion and ejection from black holes and neutron
stars as well as our colleagues at Palermo Observatory and University.

        The research project proposed by the student during the application
process can be of general astronomy, while the research project will focus
on multi-wavelength spectroscopic studies of active galactic nuclei.

             IASF-Palermo (http://www.iasf-palermo.inaf.it[3]) is home to a
large and vibrant astrophysics research community, including 21 staff
scientists and several administrative officers, postdocs, Ph.D. students
and fellows. The key topic of IASF is the study of the Universe through
observations from space and ground-based observatories in the X-ray and
gamma-ray energy bands and high-energy cosmic rays. Scientists at IASF
study X-ray binaries, gamma-ray bursts, active galactic nuclei, isolated
pulsars, Supernova Remnants, high-energy cosmic rays and many more
phenomena. The institute actively supports research and development of
scientific instrumentation for space missions and ground-based
observatories, and methods for images and data analysis. IASF-Palermo has
been involved at a high level of responsibility in a number of
International scientific missions and programs such as BeppoSAX, The Neil
Gehrels Swift Observatory, INTEGRAL. The institute has therefore access to
Swift Guarantee Time, Swift-BAT advanced software and full archives.
On-going programs involve participation to ATHENA, THESEUS, Hermes,
Jem-EUSO and other future missions, as well as the next Cherenkov
observatories such as ASTRI Mini-Array and CTA. IASF Palermo has strong
connection with the Palermo University, both in scientific research and
advanced training (PhD, master thesis and stages). The institute is also
very active in public outreach with regular education programs and public
engagement.
