les mando una beca de verano en la Universidad Macquarie en Sydney. La beca
duraria entre 6 y 7 semanas y les
pagarian A$650 por semana (que por mes es mas de lo que cobra un estudiante
de doctorado :P). Pueden preguntar
si hay algun tipo de ayuda con respecto al viaje, visa y seguro de salud
(suelen cubrir parte del viaje y tal vez la visa).

Summer Vacation Research Scholarships in the Macquarie University

Research Centre for Astronomy, Astrophysics & Astrophotonics (MQ AAAstro)
for 2012

The new Astronomy, Astrophysics & Astrophotonics Research Centre at
Macquarie University

(MQ AAAstro) has up to 4 summer vacation scholarships to offer during
Jan-Feb 2012 for 6-7 weeks.

Supervised vacation research projects are available in the following areas.

Note these projects may also be under the co-supervision of an AAO
astronomer depending on choice.


 Main research scholarship areas include:


1. Astronomy (projects based on observational data reduction, analysis &
interpretation)

2. Astrophysics (theoretical projects)

3. Astrophotonics (instrumentation projects within the MQ/AAO astrophotonics
group:

*The tax-free stipend is $650/week.*

Successful applicants from outside the Sydney metropolitan area will receive
financial support of return travel to Sydney to take up the scholarship.

Applications close on October 4th 2011 and should include covering letter,
academic transcript, CV, contact details and references from two academic
referees.
