reproducimos abajo.

Cordialmente,

Oficina Gemini Argentina.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A new version of the Gemini IRAF package (v1.14) has been released.
This release provides support for the new GMOS-N Hamamatsu CCDs.

This full release supersedes the recent commissioning release.

The highlights of this release are:

      - Support for GMOS-N Hamamatsu data, with quantum efficiency corrections.
      - Improvements to GMOS and F2 solutions in MOSTOOLS
      - New filter and configuration support for F2.
      - Fix to a GNIRS WCS issue that prevented in some cases proper stacking.
      - Better dome flat handling in GSAOI.

The quantum efficiency correction solution for GMOS is known to be less
accurate in the blue. The solution we provide is the one that works
best for most
situations.
The problem stems from a long standing scattered light problem with GMOS
where light from the red end of the spectrum gets scattered to the blue.

Installation:
We requests that our users start using Anaconda and AstroConda as their
main IRAF and dependencies installation. Ureka is no longer supported.
That being said this release should still work with Ureka if you cannot
upgrade right away. Please consider switching at your earliest convenience.

The conda package for the Gemini IRAF package is not quite ready yet.
However, because of the urgent need for this release, we are issuing a
tarball of
the software anyway to support those users who need to reduce their
GMOS-N Hamamatsu
data immediately. The conda package will be available in a few days.
Therefore, if you cannot wait, you can install AstroConda, then
install Gemini IRAF v1.14
manually (AstroConda comes with v1.13.1 still). If you can wait a few
days, please
do, then you will get v1.14 automatically with the main AstroConda
installation.

The AstroConda installation instructions can be found at:

      http://www.gemini.edu/node/12665

For manual installation if Gemini v1.14, until the conda package has been
issued,
the tarball of the package is available for download at:

      http://www.gemini.edu/node/11823

Manual installation instructions for Gemini IRAF are available at:

      http://www.gemini.edu/sciops/data/software/gemini_readme.txt

A detailed list of the changes relative to v1.13.1 can be found in the
release note:

Please report any problems and/or provide feedback on this release via the
