COMET C/2011 C3 (GIBBS)
     A. R. Gibbs reports his discovery of another comet on CCD
images taken with the Mt. Lemmon 1.5-m reflector (discovery
observation tabulated below); his initial four co-added 30-s
exposures show a compact coma of size 3" x 3".5 with a faint,
tapered, 6" tail in p.a. 290 deg.

The available astrometry, the following preliminary parabolic
orbital elements by G. V. Williams, and an ephemeris appear on MPEC
2011-D01.

COMETS C/2009 Y9-Y14 (SOHO)
Further to IAUC 9198, additional near-sun comets have been
found on SOHO website images -- presumed Kreutz sungrazers except
for C/2009 Y10 (Kracht group), which was stellar in appearance
(peak mag about 7). K. Battams notes that C/2009 Y9 was very small
(peak mag about 8). C/2009 Y11 peaked near mag 7.5-8. C/2009 Y12
was slightly diffuse (peak mag about 6.5-7). C/2009 Y13 was
diffuse with a tail (peak mag about 6.5). C/2009 Y14 was slightly
diffuse with a short tail (peak mag about 6.5).

COMET C/2009 Y15 (STEREO)
Further to IAUC 9151, a faint, slightly diffuse Kreutz
sungrazer was found on STEREO HI1-A website images (peak mag about
11-12).
