SEGUNDO ANUNCIO PARA EL PREMIO PEDRO VICENTE MALDONADO DE TESIS DE
DOCTORADO 2022

Me es grato dirigirme a usted a los efectos de anunciarle el lanzamiento de
la cuarta edición del Premio Pedro Vicente Maldonado a la mejor tesis de
doctorado en Cartografía, Geodesia o Información Geográfica ofrecido por
el Instituto Panamericano de Geografía e Historia (IPGH). LA CONVOCATORIA
ABRIRá EL 1-MAYO-2022 Y CERRARá EL 31-MAYO-2022.
El reglamento y demás detalles están disponibles en la URL que se indica
abajo. En pocas palabras, pueden presentarse tesistas de nivel de Doctorado
que hayan defendido su trabajo con fecha posterior al 1-enero-2016 y hasta
el 31-12-2021.
Se requiere que cumpla una de dos condiciones: a) ser ciudadano de un país
miembro del IPGH, independientemente de la universidad que otorgue el
título o b) haber egresado de una universidad con título acreditado en un
país miembro, independientemente de la nacionalidad del candidato. Los
candidatos deberán elaborar un documento tipo artículo científico, lo
que justifica anunciar con suficiente anticipación el llamado. El poster

Al presente se ha logrado convocar un grupo muy representativo de casi 750
evaluadores, lo que asegura una amplia difusión en la comunidad
académica, del continente y fuera de él. La lista de países miembros
incluye a Argentina, Belice, Bolivia, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica,
Ecuador, Estados Unidos, Guatemala, Haití, Honduras, México, Nicaragua,
Panamá, Paraguay, Perú, República Dominicana, Uruguay y Venezuela.

  POST-DOCTORAL POSITION IN GRAVITATIONAL WAVE PHYSICS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF
TUEBINGEN, GERMANY

Deadline for applications: April 15, 2022.
The Theoretical Astrophysics section (TAT) at the University of Tuebingen
has an opening for one postdoctoral research position (Wissenschaftlicher
Assistant / Research Assistant, full position –100%) starting from 1st of
October 2022.
The successful applicant will carry out original research focusing on the
dynamics of relativistic objects and the emission of gravitational waves.
The position is initially for 1 year with the possibility of further
extension, up to maximum of 2 more years, that will be decided after the
first year. The successful applicant is expected to assist teaching with a
maximum of four (4) hours per week. The salary will be paid according to
the German public service scale.
The research activities of TAT are related to the study of sources of
gravitational waves with emphasis on the dynamics of neutron stars and
black holes. Currently consists of six (6) post-doctoral researchers, five
(5) PhD students and seven (7) MSc students (including an Emmy-Noether
Research Group led by Dr. D. Doneva).

  JORNADA JOG5 - JÓVENES OIL&GAS! 21 DE MARZO

 Marzo 2022/ La Rural Predio Ferial de Buenos Aires

Llega la 5ta edición de JOG, la Jornada de JÓVENES OIL & GAS,
planificada, organizada y realizada por los nuevos integrantes de la
industria del petróleo y del gas, para sus pares.
En el marco de la XIII Exposición Internacional de la Argentina Oil &
Gas[1], los jóvenes tomamos la iniciativa, y realizamos el lunes 21 de
Marzo una jornada dedicada a las generaciones de profesionales que se
inician en la industria, así como a los estudiantes avanzados y a los
recién graduados interesados en unirse al sector de la Energía.
El objetivo de esta jornada es tratar los temas de interés en el ámbito
profesional de los que están comenzando en la industria y dar profundidad
a Sustentabilidad, Desarrollo de Carrera, Innovación y Tecnología. 
Dedicada a los que comienzan sus pasos en todas las áreas de las empresas
de petróleo y gas, la Jornada JOG será el ámbito por excelencia para
reunir a la nueva generación de la energía y buscar respuestas.
