Dear collaboration,

I'd like to inform you that the 2021 "La Serena School for Data 
ScienceApplied Tools for Data-driven Sciences" will count with two 
scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students in Latin American 
institutions (besides Chile). The school is a great opportunity for 
students to learn statistical and computational tools for working in the 
"Big Data" paradigm, and it is aimed to advanced undergraduate and 
graduate (up to 3rd year) students in Astronomy, Physics, Statistics, 
Math, Computer Science, Biology and related fields in data-intensive 
disciplines. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, this year the school 
will be fully online between August 2–13, with synchronous and 
asynchronous sessions. Students currently in Chilean, US, Ecuadorian 
(members of CEDIA) and Latin American institutions are eligible for full 
scholarships. Please, encourage your students to apply and feel free to 
forward this message to professors and students who may find this 
information relevant.

Final deadline to submit applications: Sunday, April 18th.
