Our next presentation will feature molecular microbiologist Devaki Bhaya<https://carnegiescience.us3.list-manage.com/track/click?u=8b4673b754620ce921821414f&id=e304143e92&e=7cde01caa6> and astrobiologist Andrew Steele<https://carnegiescience.us3.list-manage.com/track/click?u=8b4673b754620ce921821414f&id=8515d5fb73&e=7cde01caa6>, on Thursday, May 28, at 3:00 PM Eastern.

The program will tell us about how the viruses that attack bacteria living in some of our planet’s most extreme and inhospitable environments can teach us about the rise of life on Earth and the search for it elsewhere, as well as how viruses have driven evolution, not just of microbial communities, but of plants, animals, and humans, too.
