[Alumnes] New Institute of Multiscale Modelling: PhD opportunities

Dear colleagues,


the School of Natural and Life Sciences at the Johannes Gutenberg 
University (Mainz, Germany) has received funding for the next 5 year to 
open the "*Institute of Multiscale Modelling* 
<https://model.uni-mainz.de>”. Focused on computational modelling of 
physical and natural processes, the institute will fund 7 competitive 
PhD positions. We are looking for highly-motivated international 
candidates with good computational skills interested in 
interdisciplinary research.

In this framework and together with colleagues in the Math and Physics 
department I have proposed a project suitable for students in treated in 
Solid Earth science:
