Título:Nature and chemical abundances of a sample of Lyman-alpha emitter
objects at high redshift.

Resumen:On 1967, in a theoretical and seminal paper, Partridge & Peebles
(1967) predicted the existence of newly formed and highly luminous
galaxies present in an epoch when the Universe was 150 million years
old. Nowadays,  owing to the advancement of large (8-10 m) ground-based
telescopes together with the data produced by the Hubble Space
Telescope, several observational works have revealed the existence of
these primeval galaxies, commonly referred to as Lyman-alpha emitters
(LAEs). The study of these objects play a key role in the understanding
the reionization epoch of the Universe, chemical evolution and galaxy
formation. With the above in mind, our team have dedicated efforts  to
understand the nature and determinating the main properties (e.g.
metallicity) of LAEs. In this seminar, I present the first results from
the analysis of spectroscopic data of five LAEs located at a redshift
range of 5.7 < z < 7.2.
