Título: Close binary progenitors and ejected hypervelocity companions of
   thermonuclear supernovae.

Resumen: Close binaries consisting of compact helium stars (hot
subdwarfs) and massive white dwarfs have been proposed as possible
progenitors of thermonuclear supernovae via the so-called
double-detonation channel.

While the white dwarf is completely destroyed by the supernova, the  hot
subdwarf companion is ejected at a velocity, that can be high enough for
the star to become unbound to our Galaxy (hypervelocity star). I will
report about an ongoing project to search for the close binary
progenitors and the hypervelocity star companions ejected by
thermonuclear supernovae.
