Dear friends,

I am very pleased to announce that we are ready to receive applications for
the Vatican Observatory Summer School 2014 (1 - 27 June).

The school will be held at the Vatican Observatory Headquarters in Castel
Gandolfo. Applications should be submitted via web (http://www.voss2014.va).
And the deadline for submitting applications is 31st October 2013.

I am very grateful to John Stocke (Chair, University of Colorado) and to
the faculty: Christopher Carilli (Very Large Array, Socorro), Michele
Trenti (Cambridge University),
Jacqueline van Gorkom (Columbia University) for organizing an excellent
academic program. I am also grateful to Guy Consolmagno, S.J., from our
staff, for accepting to serve as dean of the school.

The topic is "Galaxies: Near and Far, Young and Old".
