Hola a todos,
el proximo martes 5 de marzo a las 14hs tendremos otra charla invitada, 
previa al ciclo normal de coloquios y fuera de su dia y horario habitual. 
El Dr. Cole Miller sera quien  nos visite en esta oportunidad.
El Dr. Miller es profesor de la University of Maryland y ultimamente ha 
centrado sus trabajos de investigacion en procesos de radiacion de altas 
energias desde  estrelas de neutrones y agujeros negros.

Titulo:
Neutron Stars and the Unknowns of Dense Matter

Resumen:
Neutron stars represent many extremes, in density, gravity,
and magnetic field strength.  Their study therefore probes
physics as well as astrophysics frontiers.  After giving an
overview of neutron stars and their evolution in binaries,
I will discuss a number of recent results related to their
maximum mass (which holds important clues to the highly
uncertain state of matter in their cores) and the difficulties
and prospects of measuring their radii.  I will conclude by
discussing the exciting promise of neutron star measurements
using gravitational wave detections.
