2nd Announcement - June 2013
LARIM2013
25 - 30 November 2013, Florianópolis, SC, Brazil
(1) Deadlines for abstract and travel grant applications postponed to July
15th
Due to numerous requests, we are extending by two weeks the deadlines for
abstract submission and applications for IAU financial support for young
astronomers. The new (and definitive) deadline is Monday, July the 15th.
The confirmation of the abstracts (short talks and posters) approved by
the Scientific Committee will be available before August, 21st.
(2) Registration Fee
Until August 31st, the registration fee is R$600 for doctors and R$300 for
students. After this date the fees will be R$700 for doctors and R$350 for
students.
Payment of registration fee
The web-site has been updated in order to give instructions for
participants that do not have an account in a Brazilian bank, for whom the
preferred payment method is via PayPal. International bank transfer is not
recommended due to the expensive charges. Participants are responsible for
paying any charges levied by their bank for this transfer.
In the LARIM2013 ?Registration Fee? webpage there is a button (?Pay now?)
that redirects you to the PayPal web-sit, where you can use your credit
card number or your PayPal account to proceed with the payment of the
registration fee. The Identification field can be used to inform the name
of the participant that is being registered. Confirmation of the Payment
When your payment is concluded you shall receive an email from PayPal
confirming it. Please keep this confirmation with you. If in a few days
your name does not appear in the list of registered participants, do not
hesitate to inform us. Cancellation Fee
If you cancel your registration until October 15st, 2013 we will refund
the Registration fee but charge R$45,00 (transfer fee). Refunding will be
made via PayPal.
If you cancel your participation after October 15st, 2013 or in case of
no-show, reimbursement cannot be made.
