Please broadly inform your communities about the upcoming Gemini Science 
and User Meeting, and encourage them to attend. The meeting will be in 
San Francisco, California, July 17-20. The website with more information

The regular Gemini Science and User Meeting provides an opportunity for 
the international Gemini community to discuss current results and plan for 
the future. The workshop sessions to discuss future instrumentation should 
be a highlight, along with much science that looks forward to using the 
new capabilities now becoming available, such as FLAMINGOS-2 and the 
Gemini Multi-Conjugate Adaptive Optics System (GeMS). The full range of 
science topics using Gemini are of interest, with a particular focus this 
year on exoplanets, supermassive black holes, and high-redshift galaxies. 
The Scientific Organizing Committee has put together a great set of 
invited speakers (all confirmed) to lead the program.
