Resumen:
=======
97% of the stars in our galaxy end their lives as white dwarfs. White
dwarfs hold in their interiors a record of how the progenitors lived and
died. They are also used as cosmological distance indicators and through
careful measurement of their cooling, can also help us constrain some
models of particle physics. Any science we do with white dwarfs, however,
depends on precise knowledge of their interior properties. Luckily, some
white dwarf pulsate and the study of their pulsations through
asteroseismology, offers us precious clues about their interiors and the
internal processes taking place inside. Fast white dwarf asteroseismology
is one way to mine this information. We present the technique and some
recent results.
