The IAU Office for Astronomy Outreach (OAO) and the International
Planetarium Society (IPS) are pleased to announce that the full schedule
for the 24-hour live broadcast from Akashi Planetarium during 100 Hours of
Astronomy (2–5 October 2025) is now online.
The programme will feature a rich variety of live and pre-recorded
contributions from around the world, including:

Planetarium shows and behind-the-scenes interviews with staff and
visitors.

Community outreach activities with children, families, and schools.

Live stargazing sessions and interactive sky tours.
-
Creative cultural events linking astronomy with music, storytelling, and
local traditions.

Presentations on the history and future of planetariums in different
countries.
This global broadcast highlights the creativity and diversity of astronomy
outreach across cultures and regions.
We invite you to explore the schedule, find your favourite presentations,
and follow along with events from your preferred clubs, presenters, and

call to host the Communicating Astronomy with the Public (CAP) Conference
2028 is now open. We encourage *Letters of Intent* from interested
institutions and countries that wish to serve as hosts.
CAP conferences are key gatherings for astronomy communication
professionals worldwide to share best practices, explore innovative
approaches, and shape the future of outreach.
Deadline to submit the Letter of Intent to host the 2028 CAP
