Near-Earth Objects (NEOs), an event designed to inspire curiosity and

workshop will be held on the 9th  of May 2025 at Stellenbosch University in
conjunction with the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA) Planetary
Defence Conference.*

*We are honoured to host Dr  Avi Loeb, a renowned theoretical physicist
specialising in astrophysics and cosmology and a Professor of Science at
Harvard University. Dr Loeb will share insights from his groundbreaking
work, offering participants a unique chance to learn from one of the most
influential thinkers in the field.*

*Ms. Romana Kofler**, Programme Officer for the Committee, Policy, and
Legal Affairs Section at the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs
(UNOOSA), will be joining us and will deliver a presentation titled "Why
International Collaboration Is Essential in Addressing Asteroids and Their
Potential Hazards to Earth."*
