[AAA] COSPAR Assembly and nova event/workshop open for registration

Dear all,

    The registration site is now open for the COSPAR General Assembly in
Florence (August 1-9, 2026) and I would like to remind you of workshop
E1.6:

   *"Novae as astrophysical laboratories of extreme phenomena" *

    that will take place with a total time of about 4 days between August 3
and 8. The exact schedule will appear a little later. The days of the event
(or half days,  if our workshop  is spread over 5 days), will be very full!
Plan ahead and look at the schedule carefully if you are interested in
hearing also some of the  talks of the many other astrophysics events,
which I am sure will also be of interest for many of you.

   As you see from the event description, the main focus is on shocks and
nucleosynthesis, but talks or posters on more general nova topics are also
welcome.
*Registration, abstract submission and REQUEST OF PARTIAL FINANCIAL
SUPPORT  are open until Friday, February 13 2026*. I will send a reminder
before the deadline. When you submit an abstract, you should indicate it is
for event E1.6.
