Hours of Astronomy 2025

From 2–5 October 2025, the IAU Office for Astronomy Outreach (OAO) and the
International Planetarium Society (IPS) invite astronomy institutions,
science centres, planetariums, museums, schools, astronomy clubs, and
community groups worldwide to take part in 100 Hours of Astronomy — this
year marking 100 Years of the Planetarium!
We invite you to bring your community into the celebration! Host a
planetarium show, public stargazing night, school visit, interactive talk,
hands-on workshop, or creative outreach activity. Whether your event is in
person or online, big or small, every activity helps connect people to the
universe and each other.
By joining, you’ll be part of a worldwide wave of astronomy engagement — a
moment to share the joy of discovery, highlight the value of science, and
inspire the next generation of skywatchers.
