Dear colleagues,

our regional government (Generalitat Valenciana, Spain) has eventually
just issued a call for generous postdoc positions at regional
institutions, like the University of Alicante (UA). Main characteristics
and requirements:

*DEGENT.* Position for researchers holding a PhD *more**than 6 yr
(before 27/9/2019)* who have been working at least three years at
reputed institutions other than the one in which his/her PhD was
achieved. These are *4+2 yr contracts* (*up to 70 kEuros gross/yr*) and
they come with an *extra yearly fundindg up to 100 kEuros* to develop
own research program (that may include student/postdoc hiring).

More details in the following links (Spanish):

https://dogv.gva.es/datos/2025/07/22/pdf/2025_28801_es.pdf

https://dogv.gva.es/datos/2025/04/30/pdf/2025_13442_es.pdf

There are obviously a few positions (20 for all areas). Pressure has
tipically been around 3-4 in previous calls. We need to have a strong
candidate for any of the two positions to be proposed by our group to
the University of Alicante (UA) -within the 5th September- to support them.

**** Interested candidates should reach us not later than the 25th of
AUGUST. ****

After that, once the candidate is backed by the UA, we'll walk you
throgh the online application. Deadline for applications is the *26th of
September.*

The outcome is expected by the end of January 2026. Positions should
start within six months since definitive concession (so, not later than
September-October 2026, if the administration sticks to its own schedule).

Were you aware of anybody interested in such positions, p*lease, feel
free to pass this notice around and contact me asap*, if interested, to
know more about the call itself and the group activity.

Our group is mainly studying the phisics and dynamics of small bodies,
it is actively involved in the Hera and RAMSES missions, and has a
branch working on TNOs. We are open to new research lines (but still in
the field of planetary science).

Currently our group is formed by Paula G. Benavidez Lozano, Manuel Pérez
Molina and myself (UA staff), Antonio Santana Ros (postdoc), Po-Yen Liu
(PhD student), Nair Trógolo (PhD student; external), Jose David Balseca
Cisneros (PhD student) and Tzu-Heng Chang (PhD student). Since October
2025, postdoc Eloy Peña Asensio will also join the group.

Thanks for your attention, and my apologies if you receive this call
through several mailing lists.
