Teniendo en cuenta que hace unos 10 años se intentó incluir al 
Observatorio de La Plata en esta lista de la UNESCO, precisamente por 
interés de algunas de las personas que trabajan en temas de Legado de la 
Astronomía y son miembros no solo de este WG sino también de UNESCO, 
sería de gran interés la participación de gente de La Plata en este 
workshop

Se ruega difundiar esta convocatoria

Workshop on Classical Observatories and UNESCO World Heritage

Hamburg Observatory, Germany

Organised by IAU Commission C4 and its Working Group "Windows to the
Universe: Classical and Modern Observatories"

This workshop aims to highlight the outstanding astronomical heritage
represented across many European observatories and consider their merits
as candidates for seeking UNESCO World Heritage status.

Abstract deadline 31 May, Registration deadline 30 June.

We also intend to publish workshop proceedings in Nuncius Hamburgensis.

Note: this meeting is being held in conjunction with the 32nd meeting of
the European Society for Astronomy in Culture (SEAC), which runs from 25
to 30 August 2025. Further information on the SEAC meeting is also
available via the above link. Note that while the deadline for
submitting SEAC abstracts has passed, its registration deadline is also
30 June.
