Are you a postgraduate student with a passion for data science? Do you have
the skills and drive to solve challenging research problems using data
science, while competing globally? Join us for the Hack4dev Regional
Hackathons 2025!

Hack4dev, in collaboration with regional organizers, is hosting 14 Data
Science hackathons between 03 February and 11 April 2025. Hackathons will
take place in *Kenya, Ghana, Ethiopia, Botswana, South Africa, Madagascar,
Rwanda, Namibia, Mozambique, India, Brazil, Chile*. Participants should be
local to the event location and able to commute daily to and from the venue
(see website for location details).

Participants will tackle a cutting-edge challenge: developing a machine
learning pipeline for CubeSats (small satellites used in space research).
You’ll collaborate with peers and compete against regional teams from
around the globe.

All participants will have access to the ilifu cloud computing system
<https://www.ilifu.ac.za/>, providing the computational resources needed to
develop and test your solutions.
