Registration form for IAU Centre Listening Sessions:

The IAU Centre for the Protection of Dark and Quiet Sky from Satellite
Constellation Interference (cps.iau.org) will start its operations on April
1st , 2022. The Centre working plan stems from the excellent contributions
produced by the Working Groups that co-organized the Workshops, SATCON1 and
SATCON2, and the Conferences, Dark and Quiet Skies I and Dark and Quiet
Skies II, which analysed in detail the interference caused to astronomy by
the satellite constellations and outlined possible mitigation strategies.

The Centre will follow those indications and act as a coordinator of the
international efforts aimed at implementing the mitigating strategies. In
particular:

   - The Centre will coordinate efforts and unify voices of the global
   astronomical community with respect to the protection of the Dark and Quiet
   Sky from satellite constellations.
   - The Centre will bring together astronomers, industry, regulators and
   the wider community and act as a bridge between all stakeholders to protect
   the dark and quiet skies.
   - The Centre will produce and disseminate information and resources to
   which any stakeholder group will be able to contribute and from which they
   can draw in support of their own activities.

The Centre aims at being as inclusive as possible, engaging in its activity
with all interested stakeholders in its four core areas or hubs:

   - SatHub (includes data repositories, an orbital solution portal,
   software tools, training curricula)
   - An Industry Hub (interacts with industry consortia on technology and
   observation campaigns)
   - A Policy Hub (interacts with UN COPUOS, ITU, national regulators
   through collaborators, etc)
   - A Community Engagement Hub (provides a voice for communities; includes
   discussion forums, workshops, talks, papers and social media)

For these reasons, the Centre is organising a set of “listening sessions”,
open to all, with the primary objective of assessing its initial plan of
activities for completeness and adequacy to the needs of the community.

For sake of efficiency, the sessions are organised according to the core
areas of activity and are repeated twice at different times for the
convenience of participants living in different time zones. The schedule of
the sessions is as follows:

   - SatHub #1 and #2: March, 8th 15:00 UT and March, 16th 05:00 UT,
   respectively
   - Policy #1 and #2: March, 9th 15:00 UT and March, 15th 05:00 UT,
   respectively
   - Industry and Technology #1 and #2: March, 10th 15:00 UT and March,
   18th 05:00 UT, respectively
   - Community Engagement #1 and #2: March, 11th 15:00 UT and March, 17th
   05:00 UT, respectively
