[AAA] pedido difusion de beca

Hola,
      Los molesto para pedirte si pueden hacer difusion, entre los socios
de la AAA del siguiente llamado a beca doctoral CONICET.
Queremos trabajar sobre los problemas que generan las grandes
constellaciones de satelites en las observaciones astronomicas, pero el
 problema es bien general y tiene muchas aplicaciones industriales y

CONAE and IATE http://iate.oac.uncor.edu invite applications for sponsoring
a 5-year CONICET doctoral research fellowship in astronomy, physics,
engineering or computer science.
Successful applicants are expected to collaborate with members of the IATE,
Prof. Mariano Dominguez and CONAE,  Prof. Marcelo Oglietti, in research
topics focused on the Mitigation
of  Satellite Constellations Effects on Telescope Observations. The student
will work at Gulich Institute (https://ig.conae.unc.edu.ar/).

We are mostly concerned with the large LEO satellite constellations impact
on Astronomical Observations (see
https://aas.org/satellite-constellations-2-workshop). We expect to develop fast
and
optimal scheduling tools for TOROS https://toros.utrgv.edu/
<https://toros.utrgv.edu/>and other surveys to avoid the increasing number
of satellites. The building of current and future satellites constellations
will strongly affect
the observations from the earth with a strong impact on large FoV survey
imaging telescopes, spectroscopic observations and radiotelescopes. We plan
to develop observations for the surveys,
considering the public orbital data of satellites to reduce the number of
satellite streaks to be masked. We expect that this proactive approach will
reduce the number of images affected by satellite streaks,
the computations involved in the masking and avoid the possible NEOs losing
due to the image postprocessing for eliminating the satellite streaks.
Also, this project will contribute to spatial debris control
and NEOs patrolling due to the continuous image analysis searching for
remaining satellite streaks.
