Hello everyone,

The IAU100 Pale Blue Dot celebrations have begun!

In an exciting update, today NASA released a new version of the Pale
Blue Dot image taken by Voyager 1 in 1990 by using new image processing
techniques: https://www.jpl.nasa.gov/news/news.php?release=2020-030

Here are some additional quick updates:

Submitting your event report
All event organizers who complete the following (optional) short form
will receive a participation certificate from IAU100:

If you wish to provide this information and feedback from your event,
please complete this form by 17:00 CET on 25 February 2020.

Social Media
Event organizers and participants are encouraged to share their
activities and photos from the pale Blue Dot project using social media.
The hashtags for the event are #IAU100 and #PaleBlueDot. We will be
retweeting and sharing updates from the IAU OAO Twitter page
(@IAU_Outreach), IAU OAO Facebook page (@IAUOutreach) and IAU100
Instagram page (@IAU100). Please tag us so we can share your images and
updates and please help spread the word of this exciting global project.

Images for the Global Photo Album
As done with several previous IAU100 global projects, we will be
developing a dedicated album on Flickr of submitted images from events
of the Pale Blue Dot project on the IAU OAO Flickr page:

To submit an image for this album, please email me with your images
INCLUDING the proper credit and location of the images. A selection of
images will be included in this album at the discretion of the IAU100
Secretariat.
