[AAA] Invitation to IAU Symposium 359 - Galaxy Evolution and Feedback - south of Brazil

Dear Dr. Pellizza, colleagues of the Astronomical Society of Argentina,

I would like to invite you to our Symposium in the south of Brazil next
March 2-6 2020. Please find below the second announcement that has the
relevant information, and in particular the coming deadline of October 20
for requesting financial support. I also attach the poster of the Symposium
if you would be so kind to print it out to post at your institute.

This is the second announcement of the IAU Symposium 359 – Galaxy Evolution
and Feedback across Different Environments (GALFEED) to take place between
March 2 and 6, 2020 at the Dall'Onder hotel, in the town of Bento
Gonçalves, located at a distance of 115 km from the Salgado Filho
International Airport of Porto Alegre, in the south of Brazil.

Deadline for requesting IAU grants: October 20, 2019. If you need financial
support, please register within the October 20 deadline, sending also an
Abstract and the form you can find at Grants for IAU Symposia and Regional
IAU Meetings page at the IAU website. By November 20, we will let you know
if you were selected for the grant.

Complete list of deadlines: (1) October 20 if a grant is being requested;
(2) December 10 for general registration and payment of the early
registration fee (250 EUR); (3) January 30 for payment of the regular fee
(300 EUR).

Goal of the IAU Symposium 359 - GALFEED: Bring together the Galaxy
Evolution and AGN communities in order to advance our understanding of the
interplay between these processes via observations and models across
different environments and cosmic time.

Extra-science attractions: The town of Bento Gonçalves is located at the
center of the wine county in the south of Brazil, home of prize-winning
wineries and of a beautiful countryside, that can be explored via hiking,
biking and picturesque tram rides.

VISA: There is no need of VISA to enter Brazil (only a valid passport) for
citizens of the following countries: United States, Canada, countries of
Europe, Australia, Japan and most countries of Latin America. If you are in
doubt if your nationality requires a VISA to enter Brazil, please consult
the official list from the Brazilian government .

Payment of the registration fee: Can be done through money transfer or
using a credit card via Paypal (early: 250EUR, regular: 300EUR and late:
350EUR). If you do not have an account at Paypal, you will be directed to
create one.
