On Wednesday 29 May 2019, exactly 100 years will have passed since the
confirmation of Einstein's General Theory of Relativity, an event that
fundamentally changed our understanding of physics and astronomy!

In this special newsletter, we want to give you some links and tips to

*Eddington at Sundy: 100 years later*

In May 1919 astronomer Arthur Eddington went on an expedition to observe a
total solar eclipse. He traveled to Príncipe, a small island off the west
coast of Africa, and sent another team to Sobral, Brazil, from where the
eclipse would also be visible.
Principe and Sobral are organizing many local activities, but there are
also global events that you can participate in!
