Tenemosel agrado de anunciar la octava “La Plata International School onAstronomy and Geophysics”:

VIIILAPIS 2019: "Pulsations along Stellar Evolution".

LaEscuela se llevará a cabo en la Facultad de Ciencias Astronómicas yGeofísicas, La Plata, Argentina, del 11 al 22 de noviembre de 2019.


Elobjetivo de la Escuela es capacitar a la próxima generación deinvestigadores en el campo de las pulsaciones estelares yconcientizarlos sobre la importancia de la astrosismología paranuestra comprensión de la estructura estelar y la evolución de lasestrellas.


LaEscuela está dirigida a estudiantes de doctorado, pero tambiénpueden inscribirse estudiantes de grado en etapa avanzada de lacarrera o postdoctorados recientes, siempre que los temas deinvestigación de interés principal se encuentren dentro de latemática de la escuela. Las clases estarán dadas por investigadoresde relevancia internacional e incluirán contenidos teóricos yprácticos. El idioma oficial de la Escuela será el inglés.

VIIILAPIS 2019: "Pulsations along Stellar Evolution".

TheSchool will held at the Facultad de Ciencias Astronómicas yGeofísicas, La Plata, Argentina, from November 11 to 22, 2019.


Thegoalof this School is to train the next generation of researchers in thefield of stellar pulsations and raiseawareness about theimportance of asteroseismology for our understanding of stellarstructure and the evolution of stars. TheSchool is aimed at PhD students, but early-career post-docs orlate-stage under-graduate students can apply as well, provided thattheir main research field lies within the school's subjects. Theclasses will be given by researchers of international relevance andwill include theoretical and practical courses.The official language of the School will be English.
