*IAU Astronomy Translation Network (ATN) News - September 2018*
Dear friends and colleagues,
After the previous newsletter special regarding our activities during the
IAU General Assembly in Austria last month, we are back with another
regular edition of our newsletter.
We would like to start by thanking every one of you for your engagement and
efforts since the beginning of the project. The Astronomy Translation
Network (ATN) is steadily growing, and it is all thanks to the dedication
of our extended volunteer and collaborators community.
In this edition, we would like to highlight our September resources as well
as our growing volunteer’s activity.
____
*The ATN by Numbers -- 271 registrations in 45 languages*
We wish a warm welcome to our new members. The IAU XXXth General Assembly
brought many new volunteers to the project in August, and we are glad to
see our network growing! We are approaching 300 volunteers now, with 45
languages.
The Portuguese Language Group is leading with 33 members. Congratulations!

* Some of volunteers registered plural native languages.
We are looking for more volunteers in *Hindi* in order to establish the *Hindi
Language Group*. If you are a native speaker, join us

!
Lastly, we are searching for *scientific reviewers* in the *Portuguese
Language Group*. Almost all the resources are translated, all we need now
is for you to review them!
Please contact our Portuguese Language Coordinators Catarina Leote
<catleote en gmail.com> and Teresa Satiko <tereza.satiko en gmail.com>.
We are always looking for new members to expand our community. Help us by
inviting a friend, colleague or even family to join our network
