It is my pleasure to send you this announcement and a first invitation:







*Fifth International Workshop            for the Design of the ANDES
Underground LaboratoryTowards the ANDES laboratory flag-ship and further
experiments                                    Buenos Aires, Argentina,*

                                   *29 - 30 June 2017*



The event is planned as an* international and interdisciplinary conference*,
in particular for the astroparticle physics, geophysics and biology
communities. The ANDES underground laboratory - to be built in the middle
of a new tunnel through the Andes between Chile and Argentina - may be used
for wildly different studies, including searches for Dark Matter, cosmic
ray experiments, geophysics/geoneutrinos measurements, or cell growth under
zero-radiation conditions. Therefore I kindly ask you to spread this email
to your colleagues and communities.



The symposium will take place in Buenos Aires at the Universidad Nacional
de San Martin (UNSAM), an inspiring and dynamic place by itself.
