This time I'm writing because I'm looking for a student who obtained
(or will obtain soon) his PhD and who wishes to apply for a
post-doc position here at the Institut d'Astrophysique de Paris.
The way things are working is that the student with the support of
IAP should apply to this position by January or so and later on by
May the university service will release its decision. The position
will be for one year with a possible extension of 6 months.

The project I propose is to study the interaction between the solar
wind and the local interstellar medium (ISM) with a focus on the
potential influences of the ISM on Earth's climate. The student will
have to handle 3D MHD and kinetic gas codes and to interact
with different collaborators who contribute to the different facets
of the problem (ISM, Heliosphere, magnetosphere,  radiative
transfer, numerical codes, etc).

If you know of a good candidate that you may recommand, please
provide him/her my coordinates.
Also, please feel free to ask me any question if you need more
infos on the subject.
