<span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">cúmplenos comunicarles que en el día de la fecha el Sr. Secretario de Coordinación Científico Tecnológica del Ministerio de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación (MinCyT), Dr. Juan Pablo Paz, nos informó oficialmente lo siguiente:</span><br style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">

<br style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">

<span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">.- el MinCyT canceló la deuda pendiente por la participación argentina en el Observatorio Gemini durante los años 2019 y 2020;</span><br style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">

<br style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">

<span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">.- se está pagando con fondos de un crédito del Banco Interamericano de Desarrollo (BID) la contribución correspondiente a 2021, y se espera que dicho pago se concrete antes del fin del corriente año;</span><br style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">

<span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">.- el MinCyT firmó la renovación del convenio Gemini para el período 2022 - 2027;</span><br style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">

<span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">.- el MinCyT solicitó al </span><em style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">Board</em><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"> de Directores del Observatorio Gemini la reducción de la participación argentina, que hasta ahora era un 3.1%, a un 2% del presupuesto del Observatorio;</span><br style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">

<span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">.- el </span><em style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">Board</em><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"> de Directores del Observatorio aceptó esta reducción.</span><br style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">

<br style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">

<span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">Adicionalmente, desde la Oficina Gemini Argentina informamos a nuestros usuarios que el </span><em style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">Board</em><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"> aprobó también un incremento del 1% en las contribuciones financieras de EE. UU. para cubrir el faltante. La reducción de nuestra contribución implicará </span><span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">una disminución proporcional del tiempo disponible para la observación científica, la cual comenzará en el semestre 2022B. </span><br style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);">
