NEW METEOR SHOWERS RECOGNIZED
     T. J. Jopek, Chair of IAU Commission 22's Working Group on Meteor
Shower Nomenclature, reports that the following seventeen showers have been
added to the IAU Working List on Meteor Showers (see the last list on CBET
2758). In the table below are given the Working List number and code; the
solar longitude, R.A., and Decl. in degrees (equinox 2000.0); the geocentric
velocity of a shower meteoroid, V_g, in km/s; and the reference. The
Working List is maintained by T. J. Jopek (AM University, Poznan) and Z.
Kanuchova (Astronomical Institute, S.A.S., Tatranska Lomnica). Other
details for each shower are provided at the IAU Meteor Data Center's website
(as posted at URL http://www.ta3.sk/IAUC22DB/MDC2007/ or
http://www.astro.amu.edu.pl/~jopek/MDC2007/).
