SUPERNOVA 2013ge IN NGC 3287 = PSN J10344846+2139419
     S. Nakano, Sumoto, Japan, reports the discovery by Koichi Itagaki
(Teppo-cho, Yamagata, Japan) of an apparent supernova (mag 16.8) on an
unfiltered CCD frame (limiting magnitude 19.0) taken on Nov. 8.796 UT using a
0.50-m f/6.8 reflector remotely at the Takanezawa station, Tochigi-ken. The
new object is located at R.A. = 10h34m48s.46, Decl. = +21d39'41".9 (equinox
2000.0; reference stars from UCAC3 catalogue), which is 15".2 east and 47".9
north of the nucleus of the presumed host galaxy, NGC 3287. The discovery
image has been posted at URL http://www.k-itagaki.jp/images/ngc3287.jpg. The
variable was designated PSN J10344846+2139419 when it was posted at the
Central Bureau's TOCP webpage and is here designated SN 2013ge based on the
spectroscopic confirmation reported below. Additional CCD magnitudes for
2013ge:  Nov. 1.788, [18.5 (Itagaki; 0.60-m f/5.7 reflector at Yamagata);
9.435, V = 16.8, I_c = 16.0 (S. Kiyota, Kamagaya, Japan; remotely with a
0.50-m astrograph + FLI ProLine PL11002M camera located near Mayhill, NM, USA;
image posted at http://meineko.sakura.ne.jp/ccd/PSN_J10344846+2139419.jpg);
10.103, 15.9 (Gianluca Masi, Francesca Nocentini, and Patrick Schmeer;
remotely using a 43-cm robotic telescope near Ceccano, Italy; position end
figures 48s.41, 42".1).

     J.-J. Zhang, Yunnan Astronimical Observatory (YNAO); X.-F. Wang, Tsinghua
University, report on an optical spectrogram (range 360-900 nm) was obtained
of PSN J10344846+2139419 = SN 2013ge on Nov. 9.88 UT with the 2.4-m telescope
(+ YFOSC) at the LiJiang Gaomeigu Station of YNAO. The spectrum is consistent
with a type-Ic supernova a few days before maximum light. Cross-correlation
with a library of supernova spectra using the "Supernova Identification" code
(SNID; Blondin and Tonry 2007, Ap.J. 666, 1024) shows that 2013ge matches with
SN 1983V at -7 days. Adopting for the host galaxy (NGC 3287) a recession
velocity of 1325 km/s (Springob et al. 2005, Ap.J. Suppl. 160, 149), they
measure a velocity of the Si II 635.5-nm absorption feature to be about 12800
km/s. Strong absorption troughs due to O I 777.4-nm and the Ca II
near-infrared triplet are present; prominent C II lines are also detected
in the spectra.
