SUPERNOVA 2009lt
     T. Kryachko and B. Satovskiy, Astrotel Observatory, Kazan State
University, report the discovery of an apparent supernova (mag approximately
19.7) on unfiltered images (limiting mag 21.5) taken on Nov. 21.65 and 22.70
UT with a 30-cm Takahashi FRC-300 telescope (+ Apogee Alta U9000 CCD camera)
at Karachay-Cherkessia, Russia.  The new object is located at R.A. =
1h30m54s.49 +/- 0".1, Decl. = +18d36'39".9 +/- 0".1 (equinox 2000.0), which is
about 4".5 west and 3".5 north of the center of the apparent host galaxy
(position end figures 54s.79, 36".4).  Nothing is visible at this position on
a Palomar Sky Survey plate obtained on 1987 Aug. 26, via the Digitized Sky
Survey (DSS) (limiting blue mag 21.5).  The discovery image is posted at

     Following posting on the Central Bureau's unconfirmed-objects webpage, L.
Elenin reports the he measured red mag 19.3 and position end figures 54s.50,
40".2 for 2009lt from images obtained on Nov. 24.216 UT by M. Schwartz with
the Tenagra II 0.81-m telescope, adding that nothing is visible at this
position on DSS images from 1954 Oct. 5 (limiting red mag 19.5) and 1990 Sept.
18 (limiting red mag 20.5).  Elenin adds that O. Spiridonova also obtained
confirming images with the Special Astrophysical Observatory (Russian
Academy of Sciences) 1-m telescope at Zelenchuk on Nov. 23.83, yielding
magnitudes R = 19.7 and B = 20.6 (measured by T. Kryachko); these images are
