SUPERNOVAE 2009R, 2009S, AND 2009T
Further to CBET 1589, A. J. Drake, S. G. Djorgovski, R. Williams, A.
Mahabal, and M. J. Graham, California Institute of Technology; M. Catelan,
Pontificia Universidad Catolica; E. C. Beshore, S. M. Larson, and R. Hill,
Lunar and Planetary Laboratory, University of Arizona; and E. Christensen,
Gemini Observatory, report the CRTS discovery of three apparent supernovae
in unfiltered Catalina Sky Survey (CSS) images:

The Palomar 1.52-m reflector was used for follow-up photometry with Gunn g,
r, and i filters, as listed below when CSS images were not used for the
measured magnitudes. Additional magnitudes for 2009R: 2008 June 24.21 UT,
[20.4 (CSS); Dec. 6.50, 19.1 (CSS); 2009 Jan. 4.51, g = 19.6, r = 19.73;
29.42, 19.7 (CSS). Additional magnitudes for 2009S: 2008 Dec. 20.36, [20.0
(CSS); 2009 Jan. 29.17, g = 18.15. Additional magnitudes for 2009T: Jan.
31.34, g = 17.3, r = 16.8, i = 16.7.
The apparent host galaxy of 2009R resides in a cluster of galaxies at
redshift fit z = 0.13 and has Gunn magnitudes u = 22.9, g = 21.6, r = 21.2,
i = 21.0, and z = 21.4. The apparent host galaxy of 2009S, 2MASX
J09323134+1741326, has redshift z = 0.049 and Sloan Digital Sky Survey
(SDSS) Gunn magnitudes u = 17.9, g = 16.3, r = 15.7, i = 15.4, and z = 15.2.
SDSS images indicate that 2009T is associated with an extended host galaxy
(SDSS J135121.68+140835.2) with Gunn magnitudes u = 19.5, g = 18.8, r = 18.6,
i = 18.4, z = 18.4; additional CSS observations on eleven nights between 2007
Dec. 3 and 2008 Dec. 2 show the apparent host galaxy of 2009T as an
unresolved source of constant brightness (mag 18.3). Finding charts, light
