[IAUC] CBET 572: 20060706 : SUPERNOVA 2006do IN ESO 470-G18

SUPERNOVA 2006do IN ESO 470-G18
     Further to IAUC 8727, J. Schwehr and W. Li report the LOSS
discovery of an apparent supernova (mag 16.7) on unfiltered KAIT images
taken on July 5.48 and 6.48 UT.  The new object is located at R.A. =
23h32m03s.08, Decl. = -27o43'31".8 (equinox 2000.0), which is 5".0 west
and 2".4 north of the center of the galaxy ESO 470-G18.  Nothing was
visible at the location of 2006do on KAIT images taken on 2005 Dec.
14.09 (limiting mag 19.0) and 2006 June 24.49 (limiting mag 18.0).
