SUPERNOVA 2006qp IN NGC 5735
     R. J. Foley and A. V. Filippenko, University of California, Berkeley,
report that inspection of CCD spectra (range 330-930 nm), obtained on Dec.
25 UT with the Keck I 10-m telescope (+ LRIS), shows that 2006qp (IAUC
8782) is a type-IIb supernova, similar to SN 1993J when roughly two months
after maximum brightness (Filippenko et al. 1994, A.J. 108, 2220).
