V1280 SCORPII
     R. K. Das, N. M. Ashok, and D. P. K. Banerjee, Physical Research
Laboratory, report further observations of this nova (cf. CBET 864),
obtained on Mar. 4.95 UT with the Mt. Abu 1.2-m telescope, clearly
show a sharply rising continuum in the 1.08- to 2.35-micron region of
the J, H, and K bands, indicating that dust formation in the nova
ejecta is now detectable.  The emission lines reported on CBET 864 are
still present, though less prominent.
