SUPERNOVA 2007cn IN UGC 11953
     R. J. Foley, J. S. Bloom, and A. V. Filippenko, University of
California, Berkeley (UCB); and C. C. Thoene, Dark Cosmology Centre
and UCB, report that inspection of a spectrum (range 330-930 nm) of
2007cn (IAUC 8851), obtained on Aug. 11.43 UT with the Keck I 10-m
telescope (+ LRIS), shows that it is a type-Ia supernova, approximately
3 months after maximum light.
