XIX IAG/USP Advanced School of Astrophysics
RADIOASTRONOMY
August 31 – September 5, 2025
Bertioga/SP, Brazil

This year’s edition will focus on radio astronomy, with a special emphasis on interferometry and VLBI. We are living a golden era for the field: facilities like ALMA and the Event Horizon Telescope (EHT) have transformed our understanding of star formation, galaxy evolution, and supermassive black holes. The next generation of observatories—including the Square Kilometer Array (SKA) and ngVLA—will further revolutionize the field thanks to their unparalleled sensitivity and resolution.
BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA.

Organized by the Working Group on Subseasonal to Interdecadal Prediction
(WGSIP), the School is designed for early-career researchers and advanced students interested in the science and applications of climate prediction.

The school will foster understanding of key concepts such as predictability, forecast skill, sources of predictability, and cross-timescale interactions. Participants will gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills through lectures and interactive lab
sessions using real-world data.

Further details, including the application process, will be announced soon - updates will be published on the ESMO website:
