<div><span style="font-family:lucida sans unicode,lucida grande,sans-serif;">Prof. Nicolas Garavito Camargo, in research topics focused on numerical astrophysics,</span></div>
<div><span style="font-family:lucida sans unicode,lucida grande,sans-serif;">galactic dynamics, resolved stellar populations, multi-band imaging and IFU spectroscopy.</span></div>

<span style="font-family:lucida sans unicode,lucida grande,sans-serif;">Postdocs of the Group of Galaxy Formation and Evolution can benefit from our Partner</span></div>
<div><span style="font-family:lucida sans unicode,lucida grande,sans-serif;">Group with the Max Planck Institute for Astrophysics in Garching, Germany and will have</span></div>
<div><span style="font-family:lucida sans unicode,lucida grande,sans-serif;">guaranteed access to exciting new numerical and observational datasets, such as the</span></div>
<div><span style="font-family:lucida sans unicode,lucida grande,sans-serif;">Auriga simulations, S-PLUS, LSST and SDSS-V. In addition, we are a node of the LACEGAL</span></div>

We seek candidates particularly interested in exploiting these data sets. Postdocs</span></div>
<div><span style="font-family:lucida sans unicode,lucida grande,sans-serif;">can also apply as PI to all professional observatories operating in Chile, including ALMA,</span></div>
<div><span style="font-family:lucida sans unicode,lucida grande,sans-serif;">ESO, Gemini-S and Magellan telescopes and are encouraged to lead their own projects.</span></div>

<span style="font-family:lucida sans unicode,lucida grande,sans-serif;"><strong>The expected beginning of these fellowships is April 1st, 2025.</strong> The eligibility is limited to</span></div>
<div><span style="font-family:lucida sans unicode,lucida grande,sans-serif;">researchers that have received their Ph.D. between Jan 1, 2021, and June 30th, 2024. This</span></div>
<div><span style="font-family:lucida sans unicode,lucida grande,sans-serif;">period is extended backward by one year per child for women/legal tutors with children born</span></div>
<div><span style="font-family:lucida sans unicode,lucida grande,sans-serif;">in this period. The fellowships include a competitive salary and funding for travel,</span></div>
<div><span style="font-family:lucida sans unicode,lucida grande,sans-serif;">publications, equipment and health insurance.</span></div>
