The PhD in Mathematics program at Khalifa University supports the Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030</div>
<div>plan by providing internationally excellent education and research experience in mathematics,</div>
<div>producing highly skilled scientists.</div>
<div><br>
This program immerses students in a rigorous degree that will quickly move them to the frontiers of</div>
<div>contemporary mathematical challenges. Our faculty support and train the next leaders in the world of</div>
<div>mathematics for academia, the private or public sector, industry, and government. Additionally, the</div>
<div>program builds on Khalifa University’s internationally leading research activity in science, engineering,</div>
<div>and medicine.</div>

The research conducted at the mathematics department covers a wide range of topics, including data</div>
<div>science, operation research, mathematical finance, biomathematics, mathematical physics, nonlinear</div>
<div>dynamics, statistics, analysis, and fundamental mathematics.</div>
<div><br>
<strong>The PhD positions are funded by competitive full PhD scholarships with generous stipends in</strong></div>
<div><strong>different tiers.</strong> The highest tier provides a basic monthly stipend of 20,000 AED (~5,400 USD) and an</div>
<div>additional monthly allowance.</div>
<div><br>
<strong><u>Requirements:</u></strong><br>
</div>
<div>• <strong>BSc</strong> with a minimum CGPA of 3.5 out of 4.0 for <u><strong>direct BSc to PhD admission.</strong></u></div>
<div>• Or <strong>MSc</strong> with a minimum CGPA of 3.25 out of 4.0 and BSc with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 out</div>
<div>of 4.0 for regular <strong><u>MSc to PhD admission</u></strong>.</div>
<div>• iBT TOEFL score of 91, IELTS score of 6.5, or 1550 <u><strong>EmSAT English score</strong></u>.</div>
<div>• A minimum quantitative score of 150 in the general <u><strong>Graduate Record Examination (GRE)</strong></u>.</div>
<div>• A minimum of two referee recommendations (provided via an online form).</div>
<div>• Statement of purpose (500-1,000 words).</div>
<div>• Research statement (500-1,000 words).</div>
