Alcance<br>

Está orientado a aquellos graduados, técnicos y alumnos de años superiores que deseen complementar<br>
su formación académica con una herramienta indispensable en cualquier organización, basada en los<br>
principios del Sistema de Aseguramiento de la Calidad.<br>

Este curso pretende incorporar conceptos y conocimientos básicos sobre la Calidad, los fundamentos y<br>
principios en los que se basa, los cambios de paradigmas desde el origen hasta nuestros días, las bases<br>
de la mejora Continua, la Calidad total y las herramientas de los Sistemas aplicables a Normas de<br>
Gestión y Técnicas, temas éstos indispensables en toda organización, laboratorio, industria, y<br>
organismos públicos o privados.<br>

observational astronomy, and an interest in joining the operations team on<br>
one of the largest optical telescopes in the world.<br>

<span>Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position to use the new</span><br>
<span>WEAVE-LOFAR survey to explore the impact of AGN and stellar feedback on</span><br>
<span>galaxy evolution. The WEAVE-LOFAR survey will use the 1000-fibre-fed</span><br>
<span>multi-object spectrograph (WEAVE) in La Palma to gather more than a</span><br>
<span>million spectra of star-forming galaxies and AGN, which have been</span><br>
<span>identified from extremely deep radio observations.</span><br>
<br>
<span>The successful candidate will work with Dr Nina Hatch and Prof Michael</span><br>
<span>Merrifield as part of the Nottingham Astronomy Group in the UK. In</span><br>
<span>addition to exploiting the spectroscopic survey to reveal the most</span><br>
<span>energetic phases of galaxy evolution, the successful candidate will make a</span><br>
<span>defining contribution to the WEAVE-LOFAR quality assurance effort, giving</span><br>
<span>the candidate privileged access to all WEAVE-LOFAR data.</span><br>
<br>
<span>Candidates should have or expect to shortly obtain a PhD (or equivalent)</span><br>
<span>in astronomy or a closely related subject. A research track record in</span><br>
<span>observational astronomy is essential and we are particularly interested in</span><br>
<span>candidates with experience of spectroscopic data or large astronomical</span><br>
<span>surveys.</span><br>

<span>This 3-year post is available from 1st April 2020, and the start date is</span><br>
<span>flexible.</span><br>
