I would like to draw your attention to the following PhD scholarship scheme<br>

The Scientia scholarships are for new PhD scholars of exceptional quality to<br>
work on research projects aligned with UNSW’s ten year strategy. These<br>
prestigious scholarships offer unique benefits, individualised support and<br>
guaranteed funding to reach your personal development goals.<br>
<br>
Specifically, they include:<br>
$41,209 a year stipend (living allowance) for four years (tax free).<br>
Tuition fees covered for the full 4 year period<br>
Up to $10,000 per year to build your career, support your international<br>
research collaborations.<br>
<br>
Candidates need to have a strong background in astro/physics, and preferably<br>
have a good understanding about one or more of the following subfields:<br>
asteroseismology, stellar evolution, and the evolution of the Milky Way.<br>
Further, the candidate should have strong computer programming skills and<br>
analytical skills with experience in writing their own analysis software to<br>
analyse large complex datasets.<br>
<br>
Broad rule of thumb: If your latest 1-2 years of marks puts you in the top<br>
10% of your student cohort and/or you have published your research in<br>
respected peer-reviewed journals or have relevant experiences in industry,<br>
you should be in a good position to attract one of these scholarships.<br>
