In one hand, we are seeing the radical change in the observational data on which the astronomical knowledge is based: about one year ago the second Gaia data release, DR2, was published. So, the most precise and the largest set of astrometric, photometric and spectroscopic data of all time became available to the community. Just few years ago we couldn't even dream about working with such huge and precise data base. On the other hand, we are also celebrating another very important moment of the Astronomy: in a few days on May 29, we are going to have the centenary of the first measurement of the gravitational displacement of the light beam from some Hyades stars (Sobral-Brazil and Prince-Africa) observed in two different circumstances: in normal conditions during the night and when the light beam was traversing the solar gravitational field during a total solar eclipse. This measurement consisted in the first complete proof of Eistein’s General Relativity Theory. I invite you to talk about these two great moments of the Astronomy as a science and also to talk about the doors that were opened with the Gaia space mission and about the future of this kind of observation.
